10 End of School Organizing Tips For All of The Stuff That Comes Home

Whether you’re ready or not, that time has come! Summer is here. Have you ever noticed that stuff tends to accumulate as the school year ends. This year, you can get a handle on all of these things by following a few simple steps.

Here are a few tips to keep you on top of the stuff that comes home from school.

✅ Go through the backpacks and bags right away

✅ Throw away any papers that you don’t intend to keep

✅ Select a few pieces of schoolwork that are worthy saving

✅ Pull any keepsakes and place them in your momento bin (yearbook, special awards, etc.)

✅ Access the backpack and lunch kit and determine if they’re worthy of keeping or passing on

✅ Toss old water bottles and school supplies that are no longer usable

✅ Clean out your homework station and supply area at home too

✅ Be mindful of duplicates since crayons, markers, and other supplies tend to multiply

✅ Evaluate the work on your fridge and bulletin board and pair down as you see fit

✅ Think about your summer schedule, chore list, and things for your kids to do while they’re home
